Today I had my first Trach change done by the surgeon. It was really quick and he said that things are healing really well. Mom and dad were both there and able to watch so that they can do trach changes when I come home. The surgeon also said that I do not have any restrictions on me so I can be moved around a lot more and begin bottle feeding again! Things are started to look up... I had a lot of fun today with my nurse and have included some current pictures so everyone can see how much I am growing.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Alexander you have been so busy today. Keep up the good work. You are doing an AMAZING job of growing and I know you will get to go home soon! I love seeing all these beautiful pictures of you. You are such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I know we didn't know each other well in High School, but I wanted to let you know that I'm really sorry to hear that you've been going through this. I can't even begin to imagine! However, I'm so happy to hear that Alexander is doing better! I wish you and your whole family much strength, love, health, and happiness!
ReplyDeleteJust cannot wait to get a hold of him and squeeze those cheeks!
ReplyDeleteHe looks just like your dad in that pic! Wow!! Glad he's doing well!!
ReplyDeleteAww you're such a cutie Alexander. Well beings that I'm blind I can't see that of course, but I have an Alexander of my own, who is 14 years old and, doesn't mind describing pictures to his mom, as long as I don't interupt him in the middle of a video game or something, hehehe. He was in an incubator when he was little, just like you. Though he wasn't quite as much in a hurry to see the world as you were, 8 weeks early still required a month in the NICU. His brothers were in a hurry too. Joshua is a month younger than you and, we're lucky to have him sleeping here in his cradle. Andreas is an angel now and, that's why we've been so worried about you, even though we don't know neither you nor your parents. . We are all so glad to hear that you are doing better. Just you concentrate on growing stronger and, you'll be home with you're parents in no time. It'll be so wonderful for all of you.
ReplyDeleteWe love the new pictures of Alexander! Glad to see he's doing well and taking steps towards coming home!
ReplyDeletejust checking in to see how Alexander is doing. Update when you can. Sending you all the best wishes and can't wait to hear he is going home!
